The Sunflower Award: Creating Diversity and Inclusion within your local unit

The Arizona PTA will go out to the local unit that demonstrates the continual process of reaching out to their missing pieces in their community. As PTA, we should be out in the community sprinkling seeds of inclusion (not just diversity) and acceptance in order to cultivate growth within our organization. The significance of the sunflower is sunflowers lean towards the light in order to grow.  When there is no light they lean toward each other. As an organization, we should lean towards each other for ideas and understanding. Being the light that empowers our communities.
