McDonald's & AZ PTA Take your Family to School Award

PTA Take Your Family to School Week Award

PTA Take Your Family to School Week is celebrated each February to pay tribute to PTA’s legacy of building family-school partnerships. PTA Take Your Family to School Week will be held February 12–18, 2012 with the purpose of expanding and enhancing family engagement in schools across Arizona.

As part of its commitment to support parent involvement on school campuses, Arizona PTA and McDonald's will offer ten (10) PTA schools a new funding opportunity to promote PTA Take Your Family to School Week.

These grants of $500 each will be awarded to PTAs to implement program(s) that engage families in the school community. These grants can be used to build positive partnerships with teachers and families, connect parents to their children’s school experiences, and give children fun ways to share what they are learning and doing in class with their families.

Applicants are asked to provide a description of how they will help engage families and promote this purpose.  Applicants will be judged on the effectiveness of their program and the long range parent/family involvement potential with their school.

Complete and mail or fax the completed grant application by January 27, 2012 deadline to be eligible for consideration.  Winners will be notified by January 30 and presented their grant monies the week of February 6th for use the following week.
